I have a to-be-read pile so large it has attained its own gravitational pull. That said, I do still add books for review to that pile. But here's the catch ... I don't guarantee an actual review. Time is short, sweeties, and I have my own writing to do, on top of reading all this great--and not so great--fiction that finds its way onto my bookshelves. My reading tastes are diverse, but this is mainly a blog dedicated to dark fiction in all its wondrous forms, so your historical romance and preachy memoirs are going to gain much of an audience here.
There is no way of knowing when I'll get around to your book. And even then, I will stop reading after fifty pages or so if the thing is not holding my interest, and if I don't finish a book, I don't review it. Shorter works like novellas tend to squeak by on account of being so slim, but if I finish it and don't like it, I will write a negative review. So, submit at your own peril, people.
If you're a thin-skinned author with a boring book, go someplace else. If you're in any way under the impression that I work for you in accepting a book for review, you need an attitude adjustment. I don't have time for any of that static I see out there on the internet. Take it someplace else.
There. Still want to send me an ARC? Fine. Send me an e-mail and we'll talk.
